Recommended Reading
Reading for 20 minutes everyday will immerse you in other worlds. It will also improve your writing and expand your vocabulary.
What should you be reading? Whatever interests you! That said, try to follow your interests in a direction that leads to more challenging material. For example, if you love sports and currently read the newspaper's Sports section, try checking out longer articles in Sports Illustrated. Read some biographies of players you admire. Google the name of your favourite sport along with The New Yorker and see what comes up.
Here are some potential pathways from simpler to more challenging texts:
(Note: Many of the following have been made into movies. It's fun to compare the film adaptation to the original book. But the book is always better, no?)
